2025-26 ASP Project Updates

June 10, 2026

Amberley Village streets, including Kincaid, Southwoods and Sagamore, have been repaved, and will undergo several stages of finalization over the coming weeks. Remaining work includes:

  • landscape restoration
  • asphalt driveway replacement
  • application of the final surface course of asphalt, and
  • rejuvenation sealer to extend the life of the asphalt.

In addition, there will be full-depth pavement repairs necessary at the top of Sagamore near Galbraith. While this will cause an unanticipated delay in the work schedule, the repairs are necessary now to ensure that integrity of the work is preserved over the long term.

The project overall is expected to take a few more weeks, and the final step will be removal of all construction signage. We again thank you for your patience and cooperation as the Village completes these important street, water main, and curb upgrades. As always, check the Village website and email communications for regular updates and any schedule changes.

Current photos of the progress are accessible via the June 10 Gallery link below. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact:

Late last month, the Amberley Village Accelerated Streets program resumed work on projects located on Sagamore, Kincaid and Southwoods after being paused last year due to inclement weather. Crews were re-deployed on Sagamore to connect a new water main line to homes, and to continue road restoration, and work resumed on Kincaid and Southwoods as well. Residents are advised that, while access to these roads will be maintained, motorists should anticipate potentially lengthy delays, and are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible. Regular email communications and website updates are being utilized to keep residents apprised of any changes to work schedule or potential issues. If you are not receiving updat3es and would like to be added to the list, please forward your name, address and email to tpreasoner@amberleyvillage.org.

January 2, 2026

Work has been paused on Southwoods, Kincaid and Sagamore for the winter months, despite Village efforts to expedite the projects.

Following a string of days featuring inclement weather, including rain, snow and freezing temperatures, contractors informed the Village that these conditions would prevent them from being able to complete the work until weather permits.

The Village again thanks residents for their patience, and is aware of the significant inconvenience caused by major road projects. Residents are reminded that all disturbed areas will be restored upon project completion. We appreciate your support as we work to improve Village infrastructure.

December 1, 2025

Work continues at Southwoods and Kincaid, with curb removal and replacement efforts underway. Milling and repaving will begin once this phase has been completed. Crews hope to begin milling and repaving work mid-December. Access remains available to residents, but through traffic is discouraged.

Water main replacement on Sagamore began near Lansdowne Avenue and has gradually been moving toward E. Galbraith. Access will remain open while work is being performed, however, motorists not living on those streets are encouraged to find alternate routes. Expect long delays of up to fifteen minutes and plan to avoid the area unless absolutely necessary. Residents on Sagamore can expect some significant inconvenience as the project progresses, however, contractors will keep residents informed when access will be limited.

Jergensen Construction will begin work on Sagamore Drive by saw cutting starting Monday, October 20, 2025. This work will take several days to complete. Traffic will be maintained on Sagamore Drive during this phase, and access to all residential properties will remain open.

The next phase of the project will involve water main replacement, which will require sections of the roadway to be excavated. This work is anticipated to begin the first week of November, starting at the intersection of Sagamore Drive and Lansdowne Avenue.

Construction materials will begin arriving soon and will be stored off the street within the right-of-way in front yards.

During the water main replacement, residential and emergency vehicle access will be maintained, but delays should be expected. It is strongly recommended that drivers use alternate routes whenever possible to avoid extended travel times through the construction area.

October 13, 2025

The 2025 Fall Accelerated Streets Program construction work on Kincaid @ Southwoods is underway and moving slower than anticipated. Travel times through the area may be longer than normal. The work zone is occupying more of the roadway than originally planned, and several underground utilities have caused delays with the installation of the new water main.

We appreciate your patience when passing through the construction area, and encourage all drivers to use alternate routes whenever possible. Access to residential driveways and emergency vehicles will always be maintained and coordinated with the construction crew on site.

Work on Sagamore Drive is scheduled to begin once the water main installation on Kincaid Road is complete. The Village anticipates starting the Sagamore water main work during the first week of November.  Residents will receive a notice 3–5 days in advance with specific location details.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important infrastructure project!

October 1, 2025:

Homes in the ASP work area may be affected by a water main break on Kincaid at Southwoods. Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) is on the scene, and water may be shut off until 6 pm today for emergency repairs. Vehicle access to homes will be maintained during repairs. Questions should be directed to GCWW at 513-591-7700.

Please note this incident will delay road work, causing road closures on Kincaid at Southwoods to be extended to Thursday and Friday, 10/2 - 10/3. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to improve Amberley Village infrastructure.

September 29, 2025:

Kincaid Road at Southwoods will be closed tomorrow and Wednesday of this week for replacement of the water main. Only local and emergency traffic will be permitted through for access.

The roadway will be closed on both days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will be open to through traffic outside of those times. Signage and traffic control staff will be assisting on Kincaid for residents needing access to their residences.
