Forest Bathing Program
Forest Bathing is a mindfulness process of experiencing forests and wooded parks, using the 5 senses to benefit physical and mental health. Substantial scientific research has demonstrated that the benefits are sustained when practiced regularly. No worries – no actual bathing is involved!
Participants will deepen their appreciation and understanding of the importance of trees to our health and survival. The participants will develop the skills and motivation to take a Forest Bathing walk on their own!
Our Guide is Amberley Village resident Joyce DeVoge, who received a level one certification in the Ecotherapy practices that are essentially identical the original Forest Bathing methods developed in Japan, referred to as shinrin-yoku. Joyce is a professional counselor with a practice in the Cincinnati area.
The program will be held rain or shine. In the event of a thunderstorm, the program will be rescheduled for October 17. Additional information will be provided upon registration.
