Exploring the Future of Amberley Green: Balancing Community Priorities and Taxpayer Costs
Following recommendations outlined in the Amberley Green 2026 Future Visioning Report, Amberley Village has been exploring strategic partnerships to achieve residents’ vision for the property while minimizing the financial burden on taxpayers. Village officials met with representatives from 11 organizations, including Great Parks of Hamilton County, Cincinnati Nature Center, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens, and several private-sector entities.
While a comprehensive funding partnership has not yet been established, discussions identified opportunities for educational programming, conservation, volunteer involvement, and potential development. The Village will continue evaluating potential partnerships and development concepts based on financial feasibility, long-term maintenance costs, and residents’ priorities. This approach will help Village Council identify sustainable opportunities while protecting taxpayer dollars and preserving Amberley Green as a valuable community asset.
