Voting is Very Important
Your home is very likely your most valuable asset. The neighborhood and community where you live also affects its value. Exercising your right to vote in local, regional, state and federal elections allows you to help control your future.
Years ago the village was carved into five distinct districts. A resident who lives in a specific district can run for office as the Councilperson that, if elected, represents that particular district. But all residents in the village can vote for anyone in any district.
On Election Day poll workers are needed for all sorts of tasks. You get the opportunity to work alongside wonderful people and meet many of your neighbors in one day!
In order to cast a legal vote in a village, county, state or federal election, you need to be a registered voter.
On Election Days, you need to show up at the right place to cast your vote. If you go to the wrong place, you may not be permitted to vote. Don't let this happen to you!
