How you got here: Utilities To make life more convenient, electricity, natural gas, potable drinking water, sanitary sewer, telephone and cable television services are available to just about every citizen in the village. But, there are a few random lots in the village not served by sanitary sewers.

If overhead power lines fall to the ground or are drooping, if a natural gas line is leaking or a water main has burst, call 911 immediately.

But if your lights just go put, or your phone or cable television is not working, please do not burden Village police and dispatchers with your calls. Contact the utility company directly with your problem. Our police department does not know when your lights or TV will come back on.  You will receive a better answer from the utility company.

Federal deregulation of certain utilities has created situations where you can purchase certain utilities from different companies. Examples of this are electricity, natural gas and telephone. You buy the product from a distant company, but it is served through the local utility lines. Contact the various utility companies to see if you can save money on your utility provider.
