How you got here: About Amberley > Map A topographic map is one that uses lines to indicate elevations above sea level. Any point on a given line is at the same elevation. The lines on a topomap are often very irregular, and can snake all over the piece of paper.  These maps are very handy if you are trying to determine how the ground slopes down to or away from a given location within the Village.

The United  States Department of the Interior Geological Survey has a collection of thousands of topographic maps for the entire USA. Amberley Village can be found on the quadrangle map titled Cincinnati East.

For the record, the lowest point in the Village is where French Creek passes under the railroad tracks at the western edge of the Village.  The highest elevation in Amberley Village can be found on Winding Way at the eastern edge of the Village. The elevation about 200 feet north of Section Road is a tad over 850 feet above sea level.
