Amberley Village is part of the Cincinnati Public School District (CPS) which provides many options for the more than 500 school-aged children living in Amberley.

Amberley's neighborhood elementary school is the Pleasant Ridge Montessori School, the only public neighborhood Montessori school in CPS and one of the few in the United States. Beginning with preschool, the program is in temporary locations while the new school is being constructed. The new facility is especially designed for Montessori education and is one of the first LEED certified, energy efficient schools in the state.

The proud alma mater for generations of Amberley families is WalnutHillsHigh School, a college preparatory high school serving 7th -12th graders. Walnut Hills is one of the premier public high schools in the United States and was recently ranked by Newsweek as 34th best in the nation, one of only three in the top 100 in Ohio with the others being Indian Hill High School at 83 and Wyoming at 99.

Another outstanding choice for Amberley 7th-12th grade students is Clark Montessori, the first public Montessori high school in the country. Consistently ranked Excellent by the Ohio Department of Education, the Gates Foundation named Clark as one of the top five model high schools in the United States.

For students with artistic aptitude, theSchool for the Creative and Performing Arts  is another option forAmberley families. Currently serving students in the 4th -12th grades, a $60 million facility is being constructed near Music Hall which will be the first K-12 school devoted to the arts in the country.

Many Amberley families also choose private education. Amberley is served by several close Jewish day schools, Cincinnati Hebrew Day for the elementary grades, the Regional Institute for Torah and Secular Studies, a high school for girls, located in Golf Manor, and Yavneh Day School located in Kenwood.

A strong Catholic school alternative is Nativity School in nearby Pleasant Ridge, which was named one of the "crown jewels" of the Catholic school system in Cincinnati. Mount Notre Dame High School is also a popular girls’ high school in nearby Reading, and for boys Moeller High School is in Kenwood.
