On Thursday July 19, 2007 Brian Bohl, CPESC, an employee of the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District, visited Amberley Village to offer suggestions about controlling flooding and erosion on Willowbrook Creek. Tim Carter, chair of the Stormwater Advisory Board, Merrie Stillpass, chair of the Beautification Committee, Village Manager Bernie Boraten, and staff members Steve Rasfeld, Wes Brown and Brian Wamsley listened to the suggestions and comments made by Mr. Bohl. Ms. Jacqueline McComb, an intern from the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District, was also in attendance.
The meeting was held outdoors along the banks of Willowbrook Creek. The first stop to orient Mr. Bohl with the issues surrounding Willowbrook Creek was just east of the mailboxes at the intersection of Willowbrook and Fair Oaks Drives. The group then moved up the creek to view the babbling brook near Meadowbrook Drive. Additional stops were farther upstream at the small checkdams and where the gradiant of the creek gets steeper.
Mr. Bohl agreed to study the situation, and get back to the Village with some helpful suggestions.
