Outreach Committee – Meeting Minutes
February 19, 2008

Present: Peg Conway (chair), Merrie Stillpass, Nicole Browder, Lt. Caudill, Bernie Boraten, Chief Monahan, Pam Hessler

I. Website administrative issue
As is commonly done when someone departs, Chief Monahan wanted to make administrative changes to the web administrative system to maintain security, with the resignation of Tim Carter. The Committee supported this initiative.

II. Strategic direction for website
Future roles and responsibilities for the website were discussed, specifically for the hands-on work to be handled by staff rather than Council members.

III. Website editing
It was agreed that some overall editing needs to be done to bring a more consistent tone to the articles. Pam Hessler agreed to look into this.

IV. Photo needs for the website
Village resident Dan Allen, a senior at Cincinnati Country Day School, needs to do a service project and is experienced with photography. He has agreed to take photos that we request for the website or other Village uses. The group generated a detailed list of ideas of Village scenes and events for Dan to photograph. Peg will type up the list and meet with Dan to explain what we want.
