Council Representation Districts

Amberley Village is divided into five districts for the purpose of electing Councilmembers. The districts are lettered A through E. If you live in District A and want to run for Council as a representative for your district, then you have to circulate a petition stating this fact.

The logic behind this district system is simple.  The Founding Fathers of the Village, who wrote the Charter, wanted residents in every part of the village to have at least one nearby resident to represent their interests on Council.

In addition to these five district representatives, there are two other Councilmembers who are elected as At Large candidates who can reside anywhere in the village.
